Osun state agog as CAC 24th National Youth Conference starts today

The stage is set for the 24th National Youth
Conference of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide (Ikeji III) which is scheduled
to start today Wednesday 30th August to Saturday 2nd
September 2017.
Ikeji III comprises of two states which are Lagos and Ogun
State.
In a statement signed by the conference organizing committee
secretary, Pastor Mich ‘Tunji Oladapo
the conference will hold at CAC Babalola Memorial Camp, Ikeji Arakeji Osun
State with the theme “Attaining the Full
Stature of Christ.”
Pastor Oladapo said that all participants are expected to
arrive the camp early enough to meet the Opening Ceremony scheduled for 6pm on
Wednesday 30 August, adding that conferees
are advised to leave home early enough to avoid night travelling stating that
they must ensure that all vehicles are in good condition.
He said just as it happened last year, there will be a Novelty
Match this year as well as a special feature in the conference.
He further stated that; “there shall be central feeding as
usual. Three official meals shall be provided.
Bible Studies and Share & Care will be handled by all Coordinators
and Sunday School Teachers who must be on ground as early as possible to
register with the officer that will be designated for the assignment. We
implore all coordinators to pre-register their youths as a way of helping the
arrangements on ground for central feeding as well as ensure large turnout of
participants.”
According to Pastor Oladapo who is also the Zonal
Superintendent of Life and Power Zone, this year there shall be three lectures as
usual; one bible exposition on salvation, the second bible exposition has been
converted to Seminar on Effect of Social Media on Salvation.
“There shall be two other Seminars – One will be general
during which two different papers shall be presented -one on Marriage and the
other on Vocation respectively. The
other Seminar will be a group one during which conferees will be allowed to
attend any one that applies to them. Campus students and Corpers shall feature
prominently in this year's conference for presentations,” he stated.
He said in view of the uniqueness of Ikeji III conference, especially
in the area of central feeding, there shall be a customized programme which
shall guide all our events at the conference, adding that this will be produced
to cut across all conferees.
According to him, the
new youth officer of the church, Pastor Sam. Gbuyiro will pilot the plane of
this year's conference, urging everyone to pray for him for a successful tenure
of office.
