Following the agitation of some Nigerians for the
restructuring of the country, Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide President,
Pastor Abraham Akinosun has throw his weight it saying that the restructuring
will return the country to her economic advancement and infrastructural
development.
He said this while delivering the welcome address at the
2017 edition of the annual CAC Pastors’ conference.
Pastor Akinosun further stated that CAC Worldwide support
the genuine attempts to bring the country to a state of oneness, adding that
the church categorically reiterate the indissolubility of the country.
“Nigeria is a great country with the best vast human and
natural resources in the world. We appreciate the Lord keeping the country
together, for the relative peace and tranquillity,”
“The past year and this year have had their attendant
impacts on the political, social and economic life of the country. We thank God
that the biting economic downturn is gradually casing off and we pray for full
recovery of the state of the economy,”
“The monolithic state of the economy and our reliance on oil
is not helpful as the price of a barrel of crude is still very low and we call
on the government to diversify the economy for sustainable development and
economic advancement,” Pastor Akinosun said.
He called on the government to intensify the fight against
corruption by successfully prosecuting alleged corrupt persons, adding that he
was miffed with the trials of several accused persons that have ended in being
dismissed or discharged.
Pastor Akinosun urged the judiciary to be up and doing and
support the government in its fight
against the monster that has decimated the country’s patrimony.
