FG should create a system that fights corruption- Pastor Amos Dada

The federal government must create a system that fights corruption instead of chasing looters, the convener of International Gathering of Eagles (IGOE), Pastor Amos Dada, has advised.

Pastor Dada is the District Superintendent and Pastor-in-charge of Christ Apostolic Church, Bethel Toronto.

He said preventing corruption is easier and faster than chasing corrupt officials in terms of monetary and time costs.

Dada spoke last week at the annual conference of IGOE in Lagos with the theme “repair the fall altar”.

He lamented that corruption has been a menace in the society, saying society should fight it instead of just talking about the war.

Declaring that repairing the nation’s broken altars is a task for all, the Canada-based cleric said school curriculum should concentrate on job creation and entrepreneurship instead of just dishing out certificates.

‘’Our curriculum in the education sector has to change. I live in Canada; the people have jobs because the people go to school and they are trained to create jobs,” he stressed, stating that is the best way to tackle youth unemployment.

He advised government to train youths to be honest, hardworking and dedicated, urging them to model good conducts for others to follow.

On the national Independence Day celebration, Dada argued it should be more about reflections than celebration.

“We should all sit down over those things that Nigerians are praying about, making them uncomfortable to see what to do about it.”

IGOE, he said, is “is to raise an eagle generation of committed vibrant and holy people of God who want to fulfil the Commission that God has committed into their hand with integrity.”
