The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, Dr. D.K. Olukoya has said that in the history of Christianity, the current generation of Christians are the most powerless.
Dr. Olukoya stated this yesterday while preaching at a conference for church leaders, workers and ministers of God organised by Christ Apostolic Church, Vineyard of Mercy District Coordinating Council (DCC) Headquarters, Yaba Lagos
He noted that the greatest burden he has is that we may not see any revival like 1930 revival unless we pray rigorously.
He said that this generation is more interested in entertainment than power, saying that those things that we ought to pursue are now pursuing us as a result of lack of power.
According to him, there are seven passages of the scripture that bothers him most, saying that they are James 5 vs. 17, John 10 vs. 34, 1Peter 4 vs. 18, 1Cor 9 vs. 16, Matt 20 vs. 16, Gen 4 vs. 1 and Romans 8 vs. 19.
Dr. Olukoya noted that the prayer life of some Christians are nothing to write home about, adding that they cannot do personal vigil and that is why when they face small challenges they give up.
"Some Christians waste their whole night on Facebook. If you're still spending two hours everyday watching Hollywood movies, you cannot get the power. If you can pray rigorously, you have no problem. If you cannot pray, your problem is worst than a man hits by trailer," he said.
If you want to be the champion God want you to be, he said you must use a tithe of your day in prayers.
He disclosed that if you can pray in tongue for one hour everyday for one month, your life will change drastically physically and spiritually.
Olukoya noted that John 10 vs. 34 makes us to understand that we ought to be little God, emphasising that you must be able to demonstrate God anywhere you are.
The scarcity of God's power according to him is not the fault of God, but unavailable of useable people.
The DCC Superintendent of Vineyard of Mercy, Pastor Anu Ojo said the conference was organized because a lot of people are orphans in the ministry.
He said a lot of Pastors have nobody to correct them, they do what they want without no supervision from anybody.
Pastor Ojo said that there are leaders and Pastors who are not accessible
He noted that as a leader or Pastor, you must be accessible or touchable, saying that Christ was accessible during His earthly ministry.
