Pastor Ayobami Oduronbi

Pastor Ayobami Oduronbi is the Chairman, organizing committee of this year's edition of the annual CAC Egba Districts Coordinating Council (DCC) Youth Convention. In the interview with the Publisher of CAC NEWS, ‘Gbenga Bankole, Pastor Odunronbi speaks on the convention and other typical issues.

Kindly tell us about the annual Egba DCC Youth Convention

The programme began in February 2010. It was the vision of the then Egba DCC youth coordinator - Pastor V.O. Osiyemi

What have been the feedbacks from people who have attended the previous editions?

This annual programme has been a rallying point for youths, even outside our denomination. The adults also look forward to it because of its impact in their lives

Give us full details of this year's convention

The program starts on February 11 with creating awareness in all C.A.C Assemblies in Egba DCC, especially at the DCC Headquarter, Isale Ake, Abeokuta.

Revival programme starts Monday through Wednesday by 5.00pm daily. There will be a lecture on Thursday by 5.00pm. The Friday program starts by 9.00pm with lectures, varieties, revival and other inspired programmes.

Tell us in brief about the theme of the convention

The theme of this year's convention is "The Generation of the Upright". It is meant to reposition and redirect the youths of this generation back to Biblical pattern and standard as against what is obtained in this present generation. It's a call to make a stand for God for all and sundry, but, especially the youths, who are the future of this church. But, the future starts now.

Tell us about the speakers

The Revival program will be anchored by a young and a dynamic minister of the gospel, Pastor Bello Elisha

There will be two lectures. The first will be anchored by Pastor O.M.O. Idowu who is also a Professor at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. The second lecture will be taken by Pastor V.O. Osiyemi, who birthed the vision of this programme.

What are other programmes you have later in the year?

In the course of this year, we shall be having a decentralized Easter Rally, Leadership Summit, Praise Night and Quarterly prayer vigils, known as Intervention night

What is your advice for youths of this day?

Well, the youths of this generation should know that they will never remain youthful forever. Hence, while they still have the advantage of their youthful strength, they should channel it into God to secure a better future. Thank you
