A renowned preacher, spiritual juggernaut and the
Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Amuwo Odofin Districts Coordinating
Council (DCC), Festac Lagos, Pastor Joe Jacobs has urged every member of the church
not to remove legacies that sustained the forefathers of the church.
Pastor Joe stated this yesterday Thursday 29th
March, 2018 while ministering on the topic “Love and Faith that Finish the Race”
at the Easter Retreat of CAC Amuwo
Odofin DCC.
He noted that legacies of our forefathers like
sanctification, holiness, purity, faith, agape love, Pentecostalism and
apostolicity, nazarite consecration of non usage of worldly adornment (jewelries,
artificial bodily decorations and sin-promoting, irresponsible appearance), sacrificial
giving, tarry-meetings and mountain-top prayers and intercession, first fruits
payment, full manifestation of the Holy Spirit in our meetings and other
biblical landmarks set by our Patriarchs must be sustained.
“For us to finish well, our children yet unborn must wholly believe
in our God and what aids our love and faith of hope to reign with Christ.
Anything short of this is what Jesus revealed to John the Beloved in the Patmos
Island as recorded in Revelation 3;17, “You say, I am rich and increased with
goods, and have need of nothing; and do not know that you are wretched and
miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked,” he noted.
Pastor Joe said that the love and faith that finish the race
excellently are proved by good works in the vineyard of God from the point of
one’s second birth to the point of death.
According to him, the Bible teaches that those who endure
till the need shall be saved; saying that in the Christian race, no one who
laid his hands to the plough and looks back is qualified for the price.
The cleric opined that love and faith lead to obeying God’s
laws that enhance long, fulfilled life, explaining that for instance,
abstinence from pre-marital sex and extra-marital sexual relationship will
boost marital bliss and trust in the marital union.
