The President of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor Abraham Akinosun has said Christianity is not a religion but a lifestyle for anyone who has surrendered his or her life to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Pastor Akinosun who stated that it is wrong to call Christianity a religion further stated that Christianity is a way of life, a culture, a norm and value for anyone who has confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour.
The President said he is miffed at times considering the level of hate, indifference and laissez faire attitudes towards one another in the Christendom.
He stated this yesterday Thursday 24rd April, 2018 while preaching on the topic "Practical Love in Christ" at the 45th Ministers' Wives Conference (Ikeji III), Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.
He also said that love is what prompted Christ's saving efforts on the cross.
According to him, all the commandments found in the Hebrew laws, or given by Old Testament prophets, hang on the idea of loving God and loving one another.
"I urge you to show love by sticking with someone through tough times. Ruth said she would stick with Naomi through thick or thin. No matter what happened, Ruth would stay by Naomi's side. This tells us that love has sticking power. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:24 that ;' friends come and friends go, but a true friend stick by you like family.' As ministers' wives, we need to make many adjustments amongst ourselves, other women in the church and every other person around us," he stated."
