The Director of Sunday School,
Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide Pastor S.O. Aluko has said that God has
never joked with the issue of children in the world and Ministers of God
shouldn’t be less concerned with preparing and preserving them.
He noted that God gives the
children for specific glorifying purposes and programmes, emphasizing that they
are bundle of potentials, leaders of tomorrow, full of life despite the present
limitation.
Pastor Aluko said this yesterday
Thursday July 26, 2018 while ministering on the topic “The Roles of the Church
in Preparing and Preserving the Children at the ongoing 25th
national decentralized children workers seminar, 2018 organised by the Sunday
School department of CAC Worldwide holding at Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun state.
The Director of Sunday School
stated that Pastors should regularly pay the children surprise visits to
encourage, pray for, and bless them.
“The children should be taught to
reference God, honour and live for the Lord’s salvation early in this corrupt
world. They should be groomed in sound doctrine. It is erroneous to think that
our children will catch our God-given values by simply being around us at home
and the church. Also, some people think preparing and preserving the children
is not worth effort. This is also erroneous.”
“Churches must do everything
possible to help the parents to consciously and meaningfully equip the
children. They must also be involved, in actual training of the children. The
fact is: effectively passing our faith in Christ Jesus and the godly legacies
of our patriarchs of faith, begins at home as spiritual practices, and should
be corroborated by the Church in the relevant,” he noted.
