The Authority of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide has finally broke silence over the usage of talking drum popularly known as "Gangan" in the church.
Over the years usage of talking drum by some CAC assemblies has became topic of discussion. While some people believed that Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola placed a ban on it, some other believes we can't be living in the past. Presently there are CAC assemblies who are using it, while there are some who kicked against it.
At the ongoing CAC Music Ministers' Conference in Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji Osun state, the issue was raised and a question was thrown to the Finance Director of the church, Pastor J.F. Omitinde on whether the church authority allowed it or not.
The Finance Director said that the authorities of the church has lifted ban on talking drum some years ago.
According to him, a circular was sent to all CAC assemblies in this regard and there is no point of putting ourselves under any bondage.
"You may argue that Apostle Babalola said the church should not use it. But the present authority of the church has lifted ban on it and the Bible instructed us to obey the constituted authorities in Romans chapter 13. There shouldn't be any argument about this. CAC assemblies can use talking drum," Pastor Omitinde stated.
All thanks to God for removing the embargo.
ReplyDeleteAll sounding instrument should be for praises, worship and edification of God, I think. We that use it should be careul so that devil will not use us against it, to turn it to praising himself.
