When I was chosen by God last year to lead His people in Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship (CACYOF), Lagos State Polytechnic Chapter, I developed interest in listening to Dr. D.K. Olukoya messages and also reading Kennet Haggin's Books. This is because I envy the grace of God upon their lives and ministries. As a result of this,  I choosed both of them as my mentors. And it must be stated that Dr. Olukoya's messages and Haggin's books indeed blessed and impacted me. Their ministries or ministrations really impacted my calling positively.

As an individual, you need to have a mentor. Mind you, the person must be a matured Christian and someone who has indeed made it in his or her calling, ministry or professional.

You need a mentor to guide you in your chosen profession, career or ministry. The person may not necessarily be someone that you can see in person or meet, but the most important thing is that you must be mentored or guided  through the books, messages or preaching of the person.

If you want to become a lawyer, look for a lawyer as a mentor. If you want to be an accountant, look for a chartered accountant to be your mentor. If God has called you to be a pastor, look for true pastor to be your mentor. Same thing is applicable to other professions.

Don't lean on your own understanding or knowledge alone, look for someone to mentor you.
